This morning, Bob Proctor’s Insight for the day included this quote from Julius Henry “Groucho” Marx, who was a Comedian and Film Star that passed away in 1977.

“Each morning when I open my eyes I say to myself: I, not events, have the power to make me happy or unhappy today. I can choose which it shall be. Yesterday is dead, tomorrow hasn’t arrived yet. I have just one day, today, and I’m going to be happy in it.”

Wow!! This is definitely something to post on my wall and think about every morning.. I consider myself to be a positive person; one who focuses on seeing the bright side of every situation. This encourages me to not just focus on seeing the positive, but to expect it and create it. Here is a pretty, printable version of this for your own wall… Groucho Marx

I’ve always liked the quote, “Yesterday is history, tomorrow is a mystery. Today? Today is a gift. That’s why we call it the present.” Don’t know who said it, but I like it.

And how easily we forget just that–I was getting ready to go confront someone. Now I’m just going to go have a conversation with them 🙂
    thank you!

This is so true. Attitude is everything! (I never realized this quote came from Groucho Marx. As my generation would say, “Cool!”.

I wouldn’t have thought of Groucho Marx either… Are you part of the generation (like me) that grew up hearing him?

Great quote, Peggy! We, each individual, are the ones who make us either happy or unhappy. It’s a choice!

      Very empowering, isn’t it Armi?…. I think that’s why I found the quote so powerful… 🙂
