I was tagged by a blogger…..

I was tagged by a new friend and fellow blogger (Kama at http://www.gracefullynatural.com) to let the world know more about me; and tag several of my favorite blogs to do the same…. This should be a lot of fun; and a good way to get to know more about some of the people behind these blogs..

First the rules: (Should you choose to play ♥ )

  1. Post rules
  2. Answer the question your taggers sent you,  or create new ones, the choice is yours.
  3. Tag eleven people
  4. Tell these people they have been tagged

Now here is the fun bit.  I was given a long list of questions; and I’m going to attempt to answer all of them…

So here goes …

  1. What gets you out of bed each day?  Once I’m awake, I’m up.  I’ve never understood why some of my friends find it a treat to “sleep in late”: I’ve never been able to do that.  I especially love a day that begins with sunshine, since that doesn’t happen often enough..
  2. If an alien landed on earth, what would your top tip ‘for living here’ be?  Blend in until you are able to learn about customs and people.  (That might be difficult if they look like the creatures in some of the movies…  Perhaps interact online first….)
  3. What is your ‘happy song’?  Almost anything Rock ‘n Roll; but the first one that comes to mind is “Born to be Wild”.  That’s the ring tone on my telephone: I’m amazed at how many people can identify it within the first stanza…
  4. Do you have a special place real or imagined?  I don’t really have a special place: I have found something special about a lot of places.  One place I have never been that seems to be pulling me is Ireland: There is a town there than bears my last name, and probably has many distant relatives…
  5. What childhood fable, fairy tale or movie stretched your imagination and sticks with you today?  Although I didn’t fully understand the movie when I first saw it – in fact, it gave me nightmares and still isn’t something I’d volunteer to watch – I’d have to say the Wizard of Oz…  There really is no place like home…
  6. What is your idea of a perfect evening?  I like to do so many things, that this would change frequently.   Some of my favorites have included live music, friends, and dancing…
  7. As a kid, what did you want to be when you grow up?  I wanted to be a Flight Attendant for Pan Am.  The primary attraction was the travel; and the ability to meet new people..
  8. What is your favorite type of movie?  Definitely Drama, especially murder mysteries or romance..   There are a surprising number of movies that combine the two…
  9. If you won the lottery would you tell anyone?  No; although the big ones seem to get publicized anyway…  I wouldn’t want that to be the first thing someone knows about me…
  10. If you could visit anywhere in the world where would it be?  Number one would definitely be Ireland: Both my husband and I have blood ties, and all the pictures I’ve seen are beautiful.  There are also lots of places in the United States I would like to spend more time in.  A nice long Motorcycle trip that includes most of them would be really Wonderful…
  11. Do you believe in Destiny?  I believe there are several places in our lives where we are presented with a “fork in the road”: The decision we make at that point determines a lot of our destiny.  There are some choices you can’t take back, or don’t realize their importance at the time.  Although it’s important to Lean on God all the time; those are the times when it’s most critical..  None of us make it through life without making a decision we wish we could change: It’s important to make it and move forward.
  12. What do you tell yourself to get through painful, difficult, or challenging times?  I focus on the things in my life I am grateful for; and there are always plenty.  I pray for strength and guidance, and make sure to spend lots of time with family and close friends.  I try not to project what might happen further down the road and live in the moment: That’s sometimes difficult, but essential for returning to a state of peace.
  13. What can you look back on and remind yourself you were successful at or were strong enough to come through?  Wow, I can think of so many things that fall into one of those two categories.  I’m pretty goal-driven, so I’m always reaching for the next thing once I have achieved a goal.  Completion is important to me: It doesn’t matter how long it takes me to complete what I have started, I keep moving forward.
  14. Look around you at this moment and choose one thing to smile about or be thankful for. What is it?  My Health!!  I’m in better condition today than I was in High School…
  15. If you could do anything at this moment to make yourself happy, what would it be?  I am happy…   When something happens that could affect that, I determine what I can do to change the situation and move forward to implement that change.  If there is nothing I can do to change the situation, I turn it over to God and focus on where he leads me.
  16. What is your favorite form of art and artist (anyone and anything you consider art qualifies)?  My favorite form of art is definitely Music…  I don’t have just one artist as a favorite: I like almost any kind of music, depending on my mood.  I look for talent in the words of the song as well as the quality of the singer’s voice; so more than one person may be involved in it’s creation.
  17. Do you have a personal anthem, a song that reminds you of who you are and want to be, that represents the ideal of you?  There are probably many of them.  The first that came to mind was “You Lift Me Up”, which has been performed by many artists.
  18. What did you experience while answering these questions?  I realized that I don’t spend very much time with introspection, and am always poised for change..
  19. If you were a color, what would you be?  Definitely Purple…   (Anyone who knows me well could easily answer that one…)
  20. If you were a brand (e.g. Apple, CocaCola, Virgin), what would you be?  This one has me stumped….  I’d have to “customize” my own.
  21. If you were a car, what would you be? Definitely a Corvette.  I’ve owned two and driven them for a large chuck of my life.  They’re fast, sleek, fun to drive, built with quality, and made in America….
  22. If you were an animal, what would you be?  A Leopard..  They’re breathtakingly beautiful, strong, fast, agile, and courageous….
  23. If you could live abroad anywhere, where would you live?  There isn’t anywhere abroad I would want to live.  I would love to visit a few places, but would not need an extended stay.
  24. If you could re-live one super-special moment in your life, which would it be?  I have been lucky, there have been many.  The first one I thought of was when I received my Master’s Degree and heard my Son shout “Yeah, Mom” as they handed me my diploma..
  25. If you could re-live one tricky moment and do it differently, which would it be?  There are a lot of “forks in the road” where I would make different choices today, especially with the benefit of hindsight.  Many of those were made based on emotion, without full consideration of the risks and facts.  The only moment that comes to mind as “tricky” was a time when my husband and I were nearly killed by a man who ran a Stop Sign: And he didn’t even stop to apologize..  My first concern was that I didn’t want to be on the back of my husband’s motorcycle as he pursued the man’s pickup to his nearby house, so I insisted we let it go.  I should have gotten off the bike, called the police, and let my husband follow him.  Though the man’s  destination was nearby; we never found him, he got away with it, and my husband had nightmares for quite some time.
  26. Putting all these answers together, are you surprised by who you’ve turned out to be?  No, I don’t think I’m surprised…   I guess I designed a lot of it…
  27. What will you do tomorrow to be more of who you are and who you’d ideally like to be?  Step out more fully, without fear that I will be judged negatively.  Become more visible, so that those I am here to help can find me…
  28. Who is your favorite philosopher?  I don’t think I have one….
  29. What is your favorite number? Definitely 4; it has been since gradeschool…
  30. What are your Facebook, LinkedIn and Twitter URLs? http://www.facebook.com/AbundancebyDesign, http://www.facebook.com/peggy.a.lusk, http://www.linkedin.com/in/peggylusk and https://twitter.com/AbundanceDesign
  31. What is your favorite time of day?  If I’m on my Harley, which is my favorite place to be; my favorite time of day is mid-day.  The chill of the morning has dimmed but the heat of the afternoon has not yet begun…
  32. What is your favorite vacation?  Cruising somewhere tropical..  (My first thought was on a Cruise ship; but cruising down the highway on my Harley on a sunny day would be just as great….)
  33. What is your favorite physical activity?  Definitely dance..   (Unless riding my Harley would be considered physical.  It doesn’t build muscle, but it takes a lot of it….)
  34. What’s your favorite non-alcoholic drink?  Coffee with cream..   (I live in the “Land of Starbuck’s”, you know…)
  35. What’s your favorite flower?  I love flowers; but don’t want them brought to me for a vase.  I like them left to grow and make the yard beautiful, rather than passing away inside the house.   My favorites are orchids, roses, rhododendrons, azaleas and lilacs.  (I also don’t like chocolates as a gift, so boyfriends have always been challenged…  Blingy jewelry, books and colorful balloons are more my style.  I lean toward things that will last…)
  36. What is your passion?  Removing the mystery from the world of finance: Helping others to stand on their own feet financially, and live life in Abundance….

And I added one – Do you know your Enneagram type?  If so, what is it; and do you feel that is fits You?  Mine is a type ‘8’, and is an amazingly close fit..

OK Now I am to tag 11 people who have that I enjoy.  I am not expecting you all to answer all these questions. You can choose 11 questions, choose them all or just totally ignore them. That is the great thing about life, you have choices. Oh, and for those of you who are reading this, I won’t give more information about each of these bloggers because I believe in the power of curiosity …

By the way, I love you series on going gray. I’ve let my hair decide its own color as well; and have received lots of complements on it. 🙂
